National Charities & Organisations
National Deaf Children's Society (NDCS)
The leading UK charity for deaf children. Offers a free helpline, technology resources, and campaigns for better services. Their website is an excellent starting point for any family.
RNID (Royal National Institute for Deaf People)
Formerly Action on Hearing Loss. Provides information, campaigns for accessibility, and funds research into hearing loss across all ages.
British Association of Teachers of the Deaf (BATOD)
The professional association for teachers of the deaf. Useful if you want to understand the role of specialist teachers in your child's education.
The Ear Foundation
Specialises in supporting families and professionals with cochlear implants and other hearing technology. Runs workshops and produces clear, practical resources.

Newborn Hearing Screening Programme
